You Can’t Go Everywhere with Your Kids, but…

DYCM [Dear Young Christian Mom],

You can’t go everywhere with your kids, but the Holy Spirit can.

I often struggle with fear when I send my girls into a new environment. Whether it be school, a sports environment, trip away or something similar, there’s a lurking stream of questions that haunt me.

Are they okay? Are they being exposed to things we don’t approve of?...

Obviously, we don’t send them anywhere dangerous, but these days exposure is accessible everywhere. And, they’re surrounded by people who don’t know Jesus.

So what do we do? How do we keep them safe without suffocating them.

Holy Spirit

Simple and sure. He is the answer.

The Holy Spirit can go everywhere. He can lead them, guide them, speak to them, and protect them-no matter where they are.

If we teach our children to listen and lean into the Holy Spirit now, they’ll continue to follow Him later.

So, if you find yourself struggling with fear or worrying about the future, remember the one who goes with them.

He will always be there.
